Take 20 month old to the ER?

I have a 20 month old son. When we got up this morning his nose was a little stuffy and runny. He also had a rough night sleeping last night., woke up like every hour or so crying. He's normally a great sleeper. My husband was at a friends house and he ran out of milk so my friend offered him ensure to give him thinking it would be like chocolate mile. My Husband didn't think about it being a litle rough on his little belly. When i got home from work my son threw up ALL OVER the place. I gave him a bath which he also threw up in. After i finally got him all clean i gave him so motrin and finally got him to go to sleep. He keeps waking up tho and he's having a really hard time breathing through his nose and now has a hoarseness in his cry and when he coughs. He doesnt have a fever. Im just worried about him. He's never REALLY been sick before. I feel horrible for him. Is there anything i can do to comfort him or help him breathe better. Should i take him to the ER would they do anything for him?
